چکیده

Aims: We aimed to compare the effects of anesthesia induction on hemodynamic parameters ketamine-midazolam or etomidate-midazolam combinations and coronary artery bypass grafting surgery.
Material Methods: 40 adult patients undergoing CABG were randomly allocated into two groups for this prospective randomized double-blinded study. Ketamine group (n = 20) Etomidate 20). Intraoperative postoperative variables, adrenal gland functions intensive care period compared after with etomidate ketamine.
Results: Perioperative not significantly different between groups. Despite similar baseline measurements, cortisol levels higher 5 minutes induction, during rewarming, ACTH stimulation test at day 1 in ketamine than etmidate. The terms duration mechanical ventilation, frequency delirium, unit hospital lengths stay.
Conclusion: Ketamine-midazolam combination is an acceptable alternative stability. Compared combination, decreased intraoperative early periods

Induction of anesthesia in coronary artery bypass graft surgery: the hemodynamic and analgesic effects of ketamine

OBJECTIVE The aim of this prospective, randomized study was to evaluate the hemodynamic and analgesic effects of ketamine by comparing it with propofol starting at the induction of anesthesia until the end of sternotomy in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting surgery. INTRODUCTION Anesthetic induction and maintenance may induce myocardial ischemia in patients with coronary arte...

Studies on thiopentone and midazolam hemodynamic response during induction of anesthesia in patients with coronary artery disease

Background: Induction of anesthesia in patients that undergo cardiac surgery has more risk than others, because of specific cardiovascular effects of the anesthetic drugs and the preoperative state of these patients, so the hemodynamic stability is very important in these patients. It seems that midazolam have less cardiovascular side effects than thiopentone. In this study, the effects of mid...

Hemodynamic Responses to Two Different Anesthesia Regimens in Compromised Left Ventricular Function Patients Undergoing Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery: Etomidate-Midazolam Versus Propofol-Ketamine

BACKGROUND Various methods have been suggested to prevent hemodynamic instability caused by propofol and adverse effects caused by etomidate induction. The current study evaluated hemodynamic effects of propofol-ketamine mixture in comparison to etomidate-midazolam mixture during anesthesia induction. OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to evaluate the hemodynamic effects of etomidate-midazo...

hemodynamic responses to two different anesthesia regimens in compromised left ventricular function patients undergoing coronary artery bypass graft surgery: etomidate-midazolam versus propofol-ketamine

conclusions both anesthetic regimens were acceptable for induction in patients with coronary artery disease and left ventricular dysfunction undergoing coronary artery bypass graft surgery. results incidence of pain on injection (2 - 4%) and myoclonus (10%) was less in both groups. the hemodynamic response was similar in the two groups for all variables over the time interval, except for ci at ...
